Feto Forti

£295.00

Feto Forti translate to Strong Woman in Tetum, the lingua franca of East Timor.

Women carry heavy weights on their heads in some parts of the world, and East Timor is one of those places. It is a skill learned from early age to carry vegetables, clean water, bricks to build homes, and rocks to build borders. Women carry these weights with grace.

Inspired by this reflection, this piece of pendant is to celebrate the strength of a woman!

This piece is hand formed from sheets of Sterling Silver and Brass. The (hair) bun on the back of the head is adorned with various sizes of clear Cubic Zirconia. Sold with a Silver Snake chain, 80cm long.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece.
