This is a typical open bangle design from East Timor.
This one of the first bangles I created together with Tio Silvio in Timor when he showed me how to pull and twist wire, shaping the silver sheet, and soldering the filigree components on the edges of the bangle. It was a long process, and as it was my first time using traditional methods with limited resources and tools.
This bangle is created entirely by hand, each piece carries the subtle traces of the making process. Expect natural variations.
